I have a Max Meffert drilling. Double 16 over 9.3x72R. Well I have most of it. Is there anyone in the U.S. that works on these or any idea of where to possibly find a butt stock? https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/uvtu...4yptty87c6pencn&st=xznkpvuq&dl=0

Unfortunately it looks to have the wrong ( home made/cobbled) forend iron on it. You can probably buy a nicer drilling in 90% condition for much less than resurrecting that one and still not being correct.

I have four other drillings including one made in Wheeling, WV. It is less about being correct and more about functionality.
I’m still looking for someone who really knows something about the internal working mechanisms of this particular drilling. Worst case I can make a butt stock as I imagine I’ll have to but always easier to ask. Never know what you find if you ask.

![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/ee/29/ApHZj2E2_t.jpeg) That's a typical Blitz Action / Triggerplate Action. I would contact New England Guns and see what they give. J.J. Perodeau can sort it for sure. Serbus, Raimey rse

Gentlemen from Alabama, thank you both.
I will endeavor to post a photo of the proofs this afternoon.
Thanks again, Dave

Are you referring to New England Custom Service in New Hampshire?

Yes indeed. New England Custom Gun Service was Dietrich Apel's business before he sold it, retired, whatever...
Again, Larry B. Schuknecht is also a good choice.
