Yes. I don't use black except in muzzle loaders and I might go to a modern substitute if I can find one up here.

What are you using for lube and are these full black powder or duplex?

Strictly smokeless powder. No black for me. I'm debating hard on taking it this year. I bought a well made floating waterproof gun case last month. So if the raft overturns i won't lose it in the river.

Mike, your waterproof gun case saving the day makes me remember. On the Innoko with a freighter canoe and three hunters with two moose, the canoe filled with water due to little freeboard and rifles, tents, and canoe were lost. Canoe was found a year later. No hunters were lost, but the engine was missing from the canoe. Of course, back in the Innoko it took a few days and stream/river crossings to get to the Yukon and get spotted.
