Well, I think it is a great day for America. Columbia capitulated, as did Venezuela and Panama. Now Mexico has given in and agreed to work with us. I read somewhere the UN sec general is calling for Denmark to talk to us about Greenland, things are moving positively in that direction. Apparently now Canada is talking to us about patching some things up. I'm hoping for the best there, and maybe there's some things we can do to be a better neighbor, but neither country should be a doormat to the other.
And USAID has been shut down and is being dragged out into the light of day. If it is corrupt as it sounds, this is a very good thing.
Zelensky said $100 billion in aid never made it to Ukraine, that will be an interesting trail to follow. More sunlight hopefully.
Oh, and the DNC had their meeting/elections. If their operations are going to be a continuation of that dumpster fire, good for us.
I hope everyone here has a great day.
Tim

Sloooowly, for bill and prof. Tick, tick, tick, the clock running on Canada. Most of the world respects strength, and a straight shooter. Will Canada be bold, and resist until 11:00 PM eastern time, or just be honest, and capitulate at a reasonable hour, lol.

Happened with USMC too as I recall. I can’t resist a good hockey analogy. DJT had a call with Sunny Boy at 3:00. ______________________________ Way to pick up the slack, Eightbore!

And yet even more "off-topic", this new "Trump Economy" is starting to threaten my pending retirement plans as I've had two real job (not crap-job) offers in the last two days.
Nothing really going-on for me for most of the last year and now....everything is starting to go, go, go.

Latest news flash, I think. "Canada to take all US liquor off the shelves." Is all liquor in Canada sold in provincial stores? Most, but not all. Alberta has gone private. Most of the rest are mostly government with some classes of liquor (beer, wine) available in regular stores.
The world cries out for such: he is needed & needed badly- the man who can carry a message to Garcia

You do realize the usual bedwetters are apoplectic about the complete loss of our democracy in the last 15 days, right? How could anything be good? Good luck, Lloyd. I've been amazed just trying to keep up with everything Trump has done since taking office. It's like watching him log rolling while juggling a dozen eggs, and playing 3-D chess all at once.
We see him signing Executive Orders and explaining them to reporters, while simultaneously taking unscripted questions. He's answering and engaging the Press without note cards or a teleprompter, and we don't see his aides cutting him short or ushering him away as we did with Biden. And Biden would have already taken a couple long weekends off at the beach, with frequent naps in between. We can only imagine how much more would have been done in two short weeks if Biden and his puppet-masters had not spent so much time setting up roadblocks to things like gas and oil drilling, and preventing useless Federal employees from actually returning to work.
Some of the revelations about waste, fraud, and abuse coming from Trump and his DOGE Team are stunning, even though we knew it was bad. The U.S. Treasury has been funding government agencies that no longer even have any function, so we can only wonder where the money really went. At least one Treasury Official has quit and fled to a non-extradition country after being informed of a pending audit.
It will be interesting to see what happens when the dust settles after tariff threats, and with Greenland and the Panama Canal as well. I do think Trump should re-think pushing to make Canada the 51st State. Canada is too far gone, and even their Conservatives are far too quick to cave in to Liberal Left dogma. We barely heard a whimper from Canadian gun owners when handguns were banned in 2022.
At the same time, it's disgusting to see Liberals complaining that inflation was not already reversed, even before he took office. However they were silent about Biden & Co. causing massive price increases by restricting oil drilling and diluting the money supply by creating over $5 Trillion of new money out of thin air.... in addition to massive borrowing. They will complain if gas prices don't immediately drop to pre-2021 levels, while ignoring that Biden drained the Strategic Petroleum Reserve... which will now have to be refilled. The SPR is another thing that needs audited.
It isn't surprising to see how quickly illegal border crossings have been mostly stopped, and mass deportations have begun as promised. It's almost as if Biden and the Democrats were lying to us when they claimed there was nothing they could do unless Republicans would roll over and pass some weak and worthless new Immigration Policy Bill. On second thought, maybe Canada could be used as a penal colony for corrupt Democrats and Deep State RINO's. It's nearly large enough.
Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug
