He had a lot of opinions I disagree with, but he was not bashful in expressing them and I admired that.

I only encountered Craig Boddington once. We were both part of a group of outdoor writers invited to South Dakota to run the then brand new Cynergy OUs through their paces. At about the same time, prices for Spanish sxs were rapidly increasing. Several of us tried our best to convince the Browning reps that it would probably be a good time to bring back the BSS, which we thought could compete well in the market given the inflation in Spanish sxs prices. They told us that all the workers who made the BSS had retired. We were unable to generate much interest. And on reflection, recalling the problems Ruger encountered when they brought out the Gold Label, that may have been a wise choice on Browning' s part.
