A neighbor knowing that I have interest in firearms brought this over to see if I knew anything about it but I don't! It seems to have been a nice quality piece but does suffer from storage neglect although it still locks up tightly and the wood is good without cracks or significant chips or other damage. It did have a rotting slip on pad on it which has been removed. Gauge is maybe 20 but I haven't checked or measured it yet. An internet search yielded a side lock gun in 24 gauge that the seller thought it might be German and undoubtedly it is European. He would be interested in finding out more about including approximate value. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.
