I had an early William Evans (made by Webley) boxlock that I bought to go into a case that I had from my Dad. Did not know about cast then.
It had been bent to suit a left hander, so I had it bent back to a bit of cast for a right-hander.
Some years later I was using a better gun and lent the Evans to a neighbour. He let it slip slightly getting it out of the gunslip and it snapped right through the hand, He was mortified! However my local gunsmith repaired it and I sold it at auction very quickly.
Be very careful!
