Sitting in the bar at Don's....there were several 50ish couples ...locals...doing their thing with the bartender on New Year's Eve at 8:00 PM. One woman had never tasted a raw oyster in 50 years in spite of growing up there. The bar got rowdy and insisted she try one...they loaded it up with horseradish. She was having a conniption, and gagging (acting?) and her husband turned to her and said..."Swallow don't spit." Kind of gives you an idea of the place.
