It's been a slow year--weather hasn't cooperated. FAIR Rizzini Iside 28 ga., 1957 M37 26" IC 16 ga. Most Ithacas that I've seen in this era were 28" Modified. Friend killed his first woodcock with it today. Abby, Willa and Snap, aka, MuttPak, did the heavy lifting. Abby, 14 end of next month, was the hero. Gil

We ended up with a pair of birds on Sunday. Dusty has not yet figured out how to pose for a picture. But he showed that he knows how to find a running pheasant. Not bad for a one-year old in his first season. Grouse are on the agenda for later this week. Maybe more pheasants today.

Hey all, just had a short time to go out before family events this evening.

Anyway, got a couple, didn't see very many today.

It was a beautiful day, sunny, warm and low winds. Should have had a limit, but one got up on the wrong side of the trees!

Oh well, nice to get out.

Used my 12ga Siace. Addie did great, very happy with her!

Wishing all of you and your families a very Blessed Christmas!

Greg

We had a great day on the Prairie, weather was wonderful. A couple of sharpies first thing and a last minute rooster.

Hey all, went put solo, didn't see many today and that includes hens.

Addie did manage to pin done a couple, so not a bad day. Weather wise, it was a darn nice day. 30, sunny and low winds.

Just a bit over a week and our season is done.

Anyway, I used my 16ga Garbi 100

Stay well my friends

Greg

Hey all, another nice day, but like yesterday the roads to our areas were pretty slick and soupy. Couldn't get to them so had to switch gears.

The birds were pretty wild, but Addie was able to pin one down and a covey of Huns. Was able to get a double on the Huns, so was happy with that

I used my 16b Charles Hellis

Stay well my friends

Greg

The last day of 2024 today. It's been an eventful year, clearly. Got up early today and shuffled some paper, grabbed some coffee and went back through this now annual thread. Every year afield is special but wow(!) there are some spectacular photographs this year (Dustin!).

Let me see if I can add to that just a little...

My version of the well-weathered vehicle shot. This one was (I believe) a 1959 Ranchero (and my last good wing-shot of the season - sure hope I can fix this). You could see the chrome in the woods from a 50-yards away that day.

Last ruffed for the year. Gave blood for it.

My 1st December day in South Dakota.

Reminds me of an old Beatles song.

Remember how warm it was in September? This was last week at LOTW.

Let's do this again next year, eh?
