Fanzoj did auction off a weapon yesterday @ the booth of a New Zealand Outfitter(Venator) @ SCI Nashville. Upper echelon sporting platforms were moving quite well as Trigger @ Westley Richards(owned in part or more by a Sultan - & I think Gulf-Breeze Guns in Florida - in the Panhandle & just below Alabama is their U.S. of A. Agency) informed me that they had sold all their >>2nd Hand<< Guns and had filled orders for their typically two dozen guns per year target. Lots of sold tags hanging on Safari type sporting platforms. I did not see Purdey represented there. Rigby always puts on a lovely Safari Dog & Pony show. Of Course Austrian & German makes were there but they are embracing the >>Dark Side<<, combining Black type platforms and mixing them in the natural stream of things; a possibly progression mind you. Not a bad idea mind you, and it reflects what they think is the pulse of the Hunter but just not my Cup of Tea.
And with baited breath, I spoke with a Gentlemen from Wales that was with a firm that hatches the bulk of Birds for Game Shooting & Game Shooting venues with 9k egg incubators stacked side by side by side by side. They sell so many, 70£ for an adult Pheasant, that they source eggs from Hungary. Huge task of a Bio-Facility to stave off anything, anything that could affect the Bird population.
www.Bettwshall.com , the Bird numbers were just staggering....
