The rifle seems to be an impressive advertisement of rifle building skills and materials rather than a Kipplaufbuesche for mountain hunting (light, lively, and quick) or a single shot rifle for precision sniper use (bolt action for stiffness, large caliber for range, muzzle brake for recoil reduction, bipod, dull no-flash finish for concealment, long stiff barrel for ballistics and accuracy). It reminds me of building a Bently pulpwood truck. Mike
