Ok, I am curious, what was the deal with the Sharps 1874?

It was long ago, so I do not recall all the details. But to the best of my recollection, the rifle had a very distinctive burn mark on it. It had been at auction a few years previously with that mark but a very different configuration and condition. It looked to have been rebarreled with a different size and configuration of barrel and some other things that I do not recall. Michael showed me a lot of documentation to be sure I was comfortable doing what he wanted me to do, which was not much.
