Not your grandma's eggnog:
Ingredients:
12 eggs separated
1 cup powdered sugar
1.5 cups brandy
1.5 cups bourbon whiskey
2 cups light rum
4 cups cream, divided
Nutmeg
Method
— Separate the eggs, setting the whites aside.
— Beat the yolks in a large bowl until light.
— Gradually beat in the powdered sugar with an electric hand mixer or wire whisk.
— Slowly ad the brandy, bourbon and rum, beating constantly.
— Stir in two cups of the cream.
— Whip the remaining two cups of cream.
— Beat the egg whites until stiff.
— Fold the whipped cream and beaten egg whites into the yolk and liquor mixture
Chill well in the refrigerator.
— Sprinkle with nutmeg before serving in a punch bowl.
Makes about 3 quarts
