Years ago, I excavated a great Omega Seamaster 120 manual wind, while digging around at my gun club. I wound it and it worked, even after an extended stay under ground. Over the years, it quit working reliably so I took it to an old Omega smith. He got it running, but again it quit. A few weeks ago, I took it out, wound it, and it has worked great for about a month. I think my Omega guy actually fixed it but I didn't wind it regularly. Now I am wearing a watch for the first time in years, and enjoying it.
