It took a bit more to get my "other" old pick-up truck ready for hunting this year. Four new tires and a new tail-light lense on the passenger side (a souvenir of our last big snowstorm here) but it's finally ready for the long haul up over mountains to the west today. Got a few bills to pay and a few more items to pack onboard but...here we go again. All I have this year is a mule deer doe tag, but it seems to be enough for now. I am noticing the cold in this rebuilt ankle in the mornings. One more thing to walk-off, eh?

My son had borrowed the truck for a little adventure of his own while I was up in Minnesota. It always seems to come back from his trips with a few things needing attention. Where I'm headed won't be looking quite this dramatic now.
