I'm developing loads for a J.P. Sauer hammer drilling built in 1891. The rifle barrel is chambered for the 11.15x52R LK Express. I have just started converting brass using .444 Marlin and .410 brass cartridge cases. The Marlin brass required thinning the rim before the action would close. The .410 brass required only trimming to 52 mm. Can anyone tell me the original bullet weight for this caliber? I'm loading black powder and .428 diameter 200 grain lead bullets, which I have on hand for loading .44-40s, for initial testing. I'm interested in trying .439 diameter 370 grain lead bullets. I've not yet tested any loads and am interested in the experience of others.
