Beautiful guns. Would it be possible to show the scale and size by photographing one of them next to a 12 ga. double? Gil

What a find! Still searching for a 4 bore that I can actually afford! Beautiful condition and luckily we can still use them for wildfowling here in England; unless this new Government has other ideas as they seem to want to ban everything. Lagopus.....

I picked up a neat tin of "punt gun powder" a year or so ago. I am not sure if this was designed to be used in cartridges or not. ![[Linked Image from photos.smugmug.com]](https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-tZfszPz/0/L8GMQ7KX2D68Lc8WxRN8VKJptcBwRF7MXTJXVjMQj/X3/i-tZfszPz-X3.jpg)

Now that is neat. I have seen several Curtis's and Harvey powder cans over the years but not that one. If you have a punt gun it makes it even better. Nice find!

Beautiful guns, but are they legal for hunting pheasants? In my world, 10 gauge is the maximum size.

Idaho is the only state where you can use a shotgun bigger than a 10 gauge for hunting upland game. In Idaho they have a shell length restriction not a gauge restriction. The upland game proclamation says no shell longer than 3 1/2 inches.

12BM, I sent a PM to FAB500 about LeFaure. He responded with this page from the 1870 directory of professions: ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/693N0gs.png) The only Lefaure arquebusier in Paris in 1870 was "E. Lefaure," located at 20 passage Jouffroy. I've asked FAB to checkk some earlier directories, perhaps going back to 1865,
