Smart kid. When I saw the photo of that buck, my first thought was that it probably dressed out at least double your son's weight. It is certainly a well fed deer with very good genetics. The antlers appear to be angled very upright, like those of a 1 1/2 year old buck, so the body size and number of points are even more impressive.

One of my best hunting memories was helping one of my buddy's younger brother's twin boys shoot his first buck at age 13. He was one elated kid, and no, he couldn't have dragged it himself either. That was over 25 years ago, and I recall it like it happened yesterday.
