Greetings from the Northsea! I love hunting doves under the trees they choose for sleeping. I picked up a Simson Suhl 16ga recently and I used it successfully. The only thing most German shotguns lack - in my opinion - is nice wood. Same with this one. Lovely engraving but boring wood. Maybe I‘ll change it. Germany has difficulty getting wood. I had a cousin who was friends with a few Germans, and they would visit him on occasion. He would save pallet wood from his workplace to gift them. He and they were into woodworking, and they had told him wood was difficult to come by and expensive. I have an affinity for German SxSs and appreciate plain straight-grain wood, being straight and plain myself.
