Glad you mentioned that. I had to go back and watch the end. I had missed it, too.
Is this the guy who used to live in Effingham Co. and knapped his own chert arrow points and made his shafts out of switchcane? I read an article about him many years ago.
I sent it to a couple friends and both my grandsons who hunt. Thanks again, my friend.

I have used 3 types of gaiters. Snow shoeing (nylon) styles are too noisy for hunting. Traditional canvas are quiet but not long wearing. I have taken to wearing Seeland, 18” gaiters for stalking, and am very satisfied with them. ![[Linked Image from ]]( https://i.imgur.com/9heIQRM.png)

I have a set of Seeland outer pants that I love for stalking, I need to replace them badly. Good stuff is my experience with them.

After looking at all the suggestions I'm angling towards the Boreal Mountain gaitors made in Canada. My only concern is they maybe too warm on a hot day and how they will stand up walking through thorn and briar patches. For all those suggesting snake prof gaitors we have very limited venomous snakes in very limited places in western Canada. Is that how these fit?

They clip to the first cross lace of your boot
The strap cinches the gaiter down
They zip up the front with a continuous Velcro seal.
Easy on, off, provided your boot has a heel.
They are 18” tall, so almost knee high.
I have stalked in every kind of terrain and find no reasons to complain about them.
I’m sure some idiot will be along shortly to exercise his anoxic brain to find fault with them.
I forgot that I also have fleece gaiters for winter, as well as some old woolen ones.
Like one or two others, I actually use the stuff.
