This 16ga has London marks on frame. Would any of you know who might T.E. Kither have sourced this type of action from 1890ish?

I can tell you nothing about Kither, but that is a very attractive action. The first thing I noticed is the length of it. It looks longer than most and the extra length appears to be between the hinge pin and the breech, which is very good.

I found a very nice Boswell and a Greener with samelocks(pin placement) so hopefully this 5lbs 13oz 16 is worthy of a restoration. With 14.5 lop and 29 in barrels( fluid bnp 2006) I thought it sounded like it would be special gun.


Hopefully shoot some doves with it this weekend.

When looking at a gun with a name that is not easily recognised having London proofs together with a high quality action just one makers name comes to mind. He made for the best London makers also the top provincial makers also, some actions have his name engraved somewhere and others do not. His company was the largest of the best quality gun action ghost builders of the Victorian era.

Thanks, found several Greener guns with same locks in same frame. All were Pigeon guns or “far killers” like this one

if you can get the locks out and take a picture we could at least see who the lock maker is.

No marks or names of any kind on locks. 2006 bnp measurements stamped on flats still match the bore size. Fired both barrels twice off to gun maker she goes.
