The birds won last night, Tucker pushed a mature male through some thick stiff about 100 yards or so, when the bird flushed I was not fast enough to get a shot off. One more flushed out of the tress on private land and crossed onto the forest land but again, I was not able to get a shot off. Still a great time of the year to be out in the woods.

Hey all, my daughter Patty and I went for a short hunt this afternoon. Just hit one spot and boy, Patty was the hot gun! She limited out and only missed one. Every other bird she nailed with one shot. She's a natural. Very proud of her!!! I only had one chance, but got him. Patty used her 20ga Yildiz and I used my 16ga Carl Goluch Addie did a great job as usual. Nice to see a Samuel Allport gun with his own name on.
He made an enormous number for the trade, particularly Rook Rifles. Thanks, this is one of my favorite hammer guns. Perfect chokes, IC/IM, weighs in at 6-8 and I really like those high hammers. She's a winner in my book.
