Making it work as a hobby is easy. Making it work as a living requires a special mix of work ethic, discipline, years of experience, business sense, a aptitude for trouble shooting, long hours and people skills.

Making it work as a living requires a special mix of work ethic, discipline, years of experience, business sense, a aptitude for trouble shooting, long hours and people skills. Words of wisdom. I dearly love tinkering with gunsmithing stuff in my spare time, but that's a whole lot different from doing it 40-48 hours a week. I appreciate you guys more than you know. I can only imagine the "people skills" aptitude that is needed.

Most of my favorite gunsmith have passed away. I have a couple gunsmith I have used but most are backed up for many months.

i'm glad they're around. I have a set of screwdrivers, but that's about it. And people tell me that I'd be dangerous if I were to use any other tools. And maybe even with the screwdrivers.
