I had the same thought this morning, Ted. I’m in upstate SC and was lucky - loss of power for a few hours and 11” of rain in 2 days. I’n atop a hill so I was okay. The mountains are devastated. Some communities are completely cut off. They’re airlifting supplies as these communities have no power, water or cell service to even call for help. I-40 is closed in a few locations including the NC/TN state line where two lanes of the interstate eroded into the roaring-from-runoff Pigeon River. I-26 is closed in numerous locations from bridge failures and mudslides. This area will be impacted for decades. Prayers for our board members in the area and for all who are suffering after this monster storm.
BTW - I’ve heard from Stan Hillis. He has no power and has damage to his farm, but he and his family are okay and their homes intact.
