https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1068595134>>This is a Ludwig Borovnik side-by-side shotgun in 16-gauge. This shotgun features 28” Full choked barrels, nice wood stocks, 12½” & 13¾” LOP, bead front sight, and double triggers. The shotgun is in nice condition with the bluing slightly dull, but intact. The lockup is tight, the triggers are crisp, and the automatic safety is functional. Both bores are good with only minor plastic shot cup residue, no pitting or issues can be seen inside the bores. Stocks are in fairly good condition with some compression marks and hairline cracks behind the left side of the receiver & cheek piece as shown in photos #28 & #29. An aftermarket butt plate appears to have been fitted, and there are compressions at the toe as shown in photo #31. This was one of the first shotguns was built after the factory was restarted (Ludwig was beaten, and all members of the Borovnik family were deported to Germany on cattle wagons for his refusal to hire German technicians the new government demanded). The 40-102 serial number indicates it was the 102nd gun made by the Ludwig Borovnik factory, and 48-1391 indicates it was the 1391st gun proofed in 1948. A rare example of this classic side by side shotgun with an amazing backstory!<<
Not sure where this Cat obtained his info, maybe Jani, but he is spot on & very, very odd for a firearms merchant.
