Just purchased a new Rizzini BR550 12 g side by side. I haven't fired a shot through the gun yet, butI have found that once the forend is snapped into position on the barrels with the gun closed, either being cocked or uncocked, it's almost impossible to remove the forend from the barrels. I have lubed well both matching surfaces where the forend sits up tightly against the end of the flats. It has a push button forend release mechanism and the only way I can get it to come away is by trying to get my finger between the push button after it has been fully depressed and the barrels and lever it away. Even this action is extremely difficult, I have nearly worn of the skin on the end of my thumb.
I'm hoping this will ease somewhat after some use, it seems that once the forend is snapped into position it is pushing very hard up against the frame of the action.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with a very tight fitting gun?
