Hey all, my son and I went out again today a different area. Saw a few birds, but not many. Did jump a couple groups, but only a couple singles.

The weather wasn't bad in the morning, but hot this afternoon.

I managed to get two, should have got one more, oh well! Will did get one

Addie did well, but she's a tired pup now!

I used my 16b Charles Boswell and Will his 16ga Sauer Royal

Stay well my friends

Greg

Dustin,
Now that is what I call "open country"! At 77, I get it. We do what we can.

Hey all, my son Will and I had an exceptional day. We both limited on grouse and spent the morning remembering past hunts from when he was little. His wife Kait and his son Willy went with (Kait was our pick up driver at the end of the cover)

Went dogless today, giving Addie a day to rest and heal a sore pad.

I used my 16b Boswell again and Will his 16ga Sauer

The bottom pic has my grandson Willy checking out the birds

Stay well my friends

Greg

Hey Karl, here he is checking out the birds. Sure hope I'll be around for his first hunt!

Stay well my friend

Greg, the way y'all are dressed I presume it's rather warm. Are poisonous snakes ever an issue for you in this early part of the season?

It's been hot this week, upper 70's to high 80's

Never ran into any rattlers, they're more toward the river. But, they around here, just never saw one

I’m told that it’s the ones that you don’t see that you need to worry about.

Fortunately, on this side of the pond our Adder (although credited with starting a bloody war in the Dark Ages) has a relatively innocuous bite.
