It looks like Argo44 has once again been drawn like a dumb moth to a flame, to whine and complain about an Off-Topic Thread which has a lot more interest and relevance to our lives than most of the Off-Topic crap he posts.
Argo44 goes on to complain about "Stalinist NKVD thought control" and "hall monitors", yet it is he who is attempting to once again censor or suppress news about another event, that may lead to anti-gun Democrats using two assassination attempts on a Presidential candidate in two months, as a vehicle to enact more gun bans.
Not only that, but we are witnessing history... something that someone who calls himself a historian should take note of. Never in the long history of this nation have we seen two attempts to assassinate a Presidential Candidate in only weeks. Violently murdering the opposition in a Presidential Election is a lot more serious threat to Democracy than a three hour unarmed protest that turned somewhat violent on Jan. 6th... especially when it is incited by other Democrats and their Left Wing propagandists in the News Media. And Ted mentioned the Democrat Presidential candidate who was anointed to that position without a single Primary vote, in what amounts to a bloodless Coup d'état to unseat the incumbent leadership. That Coup d'état was after months of lying to voters about Biden's cognitive state. The U.S. electorate has never seen anything like this.
This is serious shit, and a lot more important than Argo44's many Off-Topic Threads about Jeeps, Pashtun Tribesmen, Rolex watches, Vietnam War stories, Oriental Rugs, his French wife, or photos of non-game dishes she cooked. Then, as buzz notes, we have more name-calling from Argo44 in the very same paragraph where he suggests there are other sites to post "spleen".
Argo44 falsely complains that this site has lost "thousands of viewers", when the clearly posted "Forum Statistics" show that the most viewers online was 1344, and that was in this year, on April 29, 2024.
It also appears that Argo44 is forgetting his own nutty threat to drive from Virginia to my house to settle a verbal dispute several years ago. I thought that was pretty funny.

If I understand the QUOTE above, it appears that Argo44 actually considered that "adjectives used against him" in his precious Reilly Thread amounted to a "shooting situation". In my opinion, that calls for more than mere Moderation. This guy seems to be as mentally unbalanced as the would-be assassin who is the subject of this Thread. Maybe the Libs who support Red Flag Laws should take note of this hysterical paranoia... If nothing else, it's certainly time to give up drinking... and seek counseling.
As for Argo44 and the other whiners who complain that Off-Topic matter has driven away "thousands", and many quality posters, I think we should ask them... if it is really that bad, then why haven't THEY left??? Why are THEY still here???
They aren't truly worried about Off-Topic content. The chronic complainers post plenty of their own. They simply want to bullshit Dave, and control or censor only the content they dislike... for obvious reasons.
