Here's what we know about the assassination attempt on Trump in Florida:

Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on Sept. 15, 2024.
Trump sent out a statement to supporters soon after to report that he was “SAFE AND WELL.”

Routh is a native of North Carolina, where his list of arrests includes simple drug possession, driving without a license, expired inspection and operating a vehicle with no insurance. In addition, the Greensboro News & Record reported in 2002 that Routh was arrested after barricading himself in his roofing company's office during a three-hour standoff that followed a traffic stop in which he put his hand on a gun before fleeing.

The suspect — identified as Ryan Routh, 58, of Hawaii — was able to get within 300 to 500 yards of Trump at a chain link fence on the edge of the course, where he had an AK-47 and a GoPro camera set up, apparently to record the planned shooting.

Routh has a history of supporting progressive causes online and has made 19 donations to Democratic candidates since 2019.

Records indicate that Routh voted in the N.C. Democratic primary in March. Routh supported climate change causes.

He also made manyl donations dating to 2019 and totaling more than $100 through ActBlue, which handles Democratic contributions.


He has a criminal record dating back decades. He was concerned about Haiti

He apparently voted for Joe Biden in the subsequent election, and as of Sunday his car outside his house in Hawaii sported a bumper sticker reading Biden-Harri

Thanks Ted. We are all walking down an end-game. But when you think of the still extant writers and experts who don't come here anymore. . I've been tracking and trying to correspond with them for a long time... it might be sobering.

Do we want to turn this site into another minor political rant....or do we opt to stand and fight for what it is. There were a couple of people here about 7 years ago, who tried to destroy it..monitored posts, came into every thread with rants and threats. We revolted against this Stalinist NKVD thought control "hall monitor" "safety patrol" crap.

I uncased a SXS at my son’s final shoot for high school trap league. A younger crowd, predominantly, to be expected, people who have school aged kids and, their kids, having a great time and a great meal at the home club.

Nobody commented on my old gun. Nobody. Might have been several hundred in attendance, and at my local club, usually somebody pipes up. But, everybody is older at that venue.

I’m OK with it, if a bit sad. Mostly black or camo autoloaders in the hands of the kids, it is what it is.

My kid has never asked to shoot a double, save his grandpa’s O/U, and after a round he decided he preferred his pump gun.

If somebody here pipes up about politics, let it go. We are few enough in number, somewhat prone to being luddites with our old guns, and set in our ways. There is more than enough censorship of late, in areas that have deeper ramifications than an old guys hobby double gun board.
