I prefer French, American, and Italian bikes, esp Italian . Keep your English.
And yes, I trust the people at Briley and JJ Perodeau far more than you. My Darne was not, in ther considerable experience, unusual at all. So it goes.
Good luck to you.
Something you probably don’t grasp, is that there is a local English bicycle club. I own American, Japanese, French and Spanish bikes (Orbea) but, you don’t get to do English bike club events on anything, but, an English bike.
You are an army of one complaining about regulation of Darne guns on the internet.
Best,
Ted
Nope. I get it. Have fun puttering along with your English 3 speeds. Whatever.
As for Darnes, they are what they are, not the best made guns, nor good bets for a suitable double. Does not take much to find that out, but I listened to you. Foolish of me, for certain.
Something else you don’t grasp. Others, disagree. I sold new Darne guns for over 20 years, and you won’t find any complaints with my guns. I’ve tried. The biggest complainer is a guy who didn’t buy a gun from me, has owned a grand total of one, an older low grade gun, and shoots his big mouth off about how it is my fault every chance he gets.
Whether you like it or not, not every gun is a success story for every buyer. Nothing you own is a best made gun.
Oh, and, by the way, 5 speed, in my case. It would take most of a shift to explain it to you, so, I won’t.
Best,
Ted
