I would assume normal length tubes for lead shot could replace the extended ones. And it would be a great entry level duck gun for steel shot, especially with the dull finish. I had a Dickinson Estate, and it was a fantastic shooter. Nothing more, nothing less. I normally gravitate to vintage hammer guns, but these do have their place, especially for introducing new shooters to sxs's.
