I'd as soon watch Ted and Lonnie spar as eat good bawled p'nuts.
If we were actually sparring, I’d pound him into the ground like a tent peg.
Pretty sure I’ve beat up better men on the way to a fight.
Best, Ted

You really are top dickhead around here.
And a tough guy, hiding behind a keyboard.
What the [censored - come on man!] is wrong with some of you?
‘Twas a silly joke, that went right over your dumb head….like most everything else.
Best, Ted

Been along time since I’ve been in a locker room but pheasant camp isn’t really any different but , of course, we don’t allow no stinking liberals there.

You know it is going to be a really serious brawl when the instigator invokes the wearing of ice skates.

We don't have a political litmus test at my pheasant camp, the attendees enjoy an array of diverse opinions. We do all love to hunt and chase wild birds over dogs on the prairie though.

Isn’t this rich!😂 Pot calling the kettle black!
Hey Brent, you loudmouth slack jawed faggit, where you been the last few days? Me? I’m glad you asked! I was on a hike, 16 miles in, to summit a 12k ft peak, with 5k ft of elevation gain, 3k of that the last 1.5 miles. When I got to the summit, I expected to see you up there, but of course you weren’t….you were here, flappin your gums, with 6,911 post of pure poop. I’m heading off to southern Idaho to summit another few small hills, with some 5.10+ climbing involved….got my ropes, rack and harness all packed up. See you at the top. Nah. I probably won’t will I.
I’m a shooter/collector and have focused on 16b Ithacas for as long as I’ve collected and shot SxS’s. Purchases can be long between because I’m focused on models or variations that are usually low production number examples and personal resources have always been limited. I regularly watch three auction sites (GB, GI, & GA) and have noticed in the last 3-4 years that buyers are thinning out and values are slipping. More than once in the past there would be 4 or 5 of us bidding at the end. In one example, it thinned down to just two of us and over and over he would wait until the last seconds of the 15 minute reset before raising his bid. We went back and forth deep into evening before I finally had to let the gun go. No more. Last year I purchased a gun that I had long looked for and I was the only bidder. It was an all original in fantastic condition and I bought it for the opening bid that was about 40-50% below what would have been its value just a couple of years before. A friend of mine who occasionally sells a gun via penny auction told me recently that the last two he sold that way (field grade Parkers) went for dimes on the dollar. There may be increased interest in Turkish SxS’s but in the SxS niche that I’m familiar with there is definitely not a “renaissance.”
Thirty years ago Steve Bodio wrote (in Good Guns Again), “An old gun will carry the tooth marks of long-dead craftsmen, the scars of hard hunts completed before you were born, the smooth patina left by the hand of an earlier generation. When today’s hunters use such guns, they carry an extra magic that I cannot define, but must acknowledge."
The majority of today’s hunters and shooters do not recognize this and therefore do not value this “magic”. Until they do, there won’t be a renaissance of classic SxS’s.
