I believe that Marty H. may be Martha Gellhorn, married to Hemingway at the time.

Martha Hemingway. I'm pretty sure she never had a mustache.

I recall reading somewhere that we seldom see photos of Gary Cooper shooting or hunting because he had to wear glasses. Here are a couple of pictures of Gary Cooper hunting with Papa in Sun Valley from the book High on the Wild with Hemmingway. From 1940 without glasses -- ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/xhvnvTv.jpg) From 1941 with glasses -- ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/7Uib7ye.jpg) In that photo of Cooper with glasses, looks like he's carrying a Parker.

Martha Hemingway. I'm pretty sure she never had a mustache. Thanks. I feel better now!! Never had seen a picture of her. But in the picture I see on my screen it sure looks like a blonde mustache!! Just the way the light was hitting her apparently.

That is definitely Gelhorn in the first picture/ The "mustache" appears to be a reflection off here upper lip due to the sun. She is wearing a lot of the same clothes in a couple of the last pictures; Cap, coat, boots, shell bag etc.

Bobby Stack went on to become actor Robert Stack. He and Alex Kerr were commissioned as Naval Officers and served as aerial gunnery instructors during WWII. Not 100% sure but I think Kerr headed that unit. I believe that Bob Allen, who started his company specializing in gear for those who play the scatter gun games after the war, was a member of that same unit.

Robert Stack's World Championship gun was sold for very short money at his estate sale. No mention of its signifigance was included in the catalog description. Who has it now?
