I know the events in the news lately are "gripping" (even for those of us who try to ignore it all) but we seem to be losing track of a far-more important deadline (at least from my clearly humble perspective). Focusing on politics is a sure-fire way to become downright miserable anymore, and the media-types count on that rather morbid-fascination to help them sell airtime. We are all (for the most part) powerless to really do anything about it now. Getting worked-up over it seems a poor-use of resources IMHO. Focusing on the time you have left to enjoy your days afield seems far-more practical and useful to me.
Are you walking regularly now to build stamina? I know the heat of summer is upon us but...early mornings now is the time to get out there and trim things up a bit. Are you eating (& drinking?) with an eye towards your physical condition in September/October? Do you have any pending medical (or dental) procedures that you need to get out of the way? Your physical plant is far-more important to your enjoyment this Fall than your guns are. Is your physician on-board with your plans to hunt this year? Are your eyes up to the task at hand or do you need a consultation?
Speaking of guns...are yours truly-ready for the fall seasons? Any last-minute work that needs to be completed? (gunsmiths tend to get really-busy in August) Is the rest of your gear up to the task (boots, hunting clothes/coats, shooting gloves, eyewear)? Have you secured proper ammunition for your weapon of choice? (RST informs me that they are at the ready.) Have you added guns to your lineup that might displace your regular upland options? Have you properly function-checked them and then shot them enough to be effective? Have you patterned them with your ammunition of choice?
Lots of fun things to contemplate if you think about it. Put down that damn cellphone, turn off your computer (or TV) and get on with it. I guarantee that you'll be much happier for it.

Things are looking very good for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Easy winter, early spring, plenty of bugs, it should be as good as last year which was one of the highest drumming count years since the early 1970s.
Out there doing it best I can.

Lloyd, I typically agree with you at least 98% of the time... but disagree with your premise here. This is no time to take our eyes off of the political ball, no matter how discouraging and disgusting it can be at times. I can multi-task very well. I can work at home and at my job, pay my bills with Biden inflated dollars, maintain my vehicles, mow my lawn and field, and have some fun times too. If we were having frosty nights and the leaves were turning colors right now, I could gather up my guns and gear and be ready to go grouse hunting tomorrow. If my favorite double needed repairs, I would have many others to fall back on, and have plenty of ammo to use in them, in everything from .410 to 10 gauge. My gear is always ready too, and the only thing that needs to be done is to give my hunting clothes, boots, and socks a fresh treatment with .5% permethrin to prevent ticks. My job is technical in nature, but also requires plenty of physical activity that helps me to stay in shape. I am always reminded when I start hunting in earnest that you can walk miles every day on pavement and concrete, but you use an entirely different set of muscles when climbing hills in the woods, or slogging through briars and tall weeds. So yeah, it helps a lot to do some woods walking before actually doing full days of hard hunting. Getting out to hunt for mushrooms or ginseng, hiking off of groomed trails, or pre-season scouting activities helps a lot. Walking around the neighborhood streets won't be enough. Taking magnesium citrate and turmeric/curcumin supplements helps with those leg muscles that may cramp up from not being used much of the year. The last time I was dragging my deer out of the woods, it was already after dark. I stopped to take a breather, saw I had a cell phone signal, so I called my daughter. She asked what I was up to, and I told her I was taking a coronary stress test. In a panicked voice, she asked what happened. I told her to calm down, but I had gotten my deer, and was doing the hard work of dragging it to my truck. Dragging many large tarp loads of wet leaves into the woods in the Fall helps prepare for dragging a buck. For most of us, hunting is not a sedentary activity, so we do need to stay in decent shape, and have our regular Physician check-ups. It might be nice to die in the woods doing something I love, but not just yet. However, I plan to remain fully engaged, involved, and informed in this election until Inauguration Day, at least. We have spent most of our lives in a battle with anti-gun Democrats who constantly seek new and creative ways to limit, infringe, or totally eliminate our 2nd Amendment and hunting rights. When we were young, there were still at least a few Democrats that would support their constituents gun rights. Michigan Democrat Senator John Dingell was very pro-gun, and was even an NRA Board Member. But those days are over. Now even formerly solid pro-gun Democrats like W. Va. Sen. Joe Manchin have turned against us. Sen. John Dingell's Democrat Senator daughter and virtually all of her fellow Democrat Senators and Congressmen now vote against our 2nd Amendment Right in virtual lock-step. And unfortunately, there are some Republicans that need to be replaced as well. When my former Republican Senator Pat Toomey chose to side with anti-gun Democrats, I stopped voting for him, and contacted his office to let him know I would now campaign for any pro-gun candidate to replace him. This election is even worse, in terms of the hard work we must do to prevent the Liberal Left from turning this Nation into something that would have the vast majority of previous generations turning in their graves. We quickly went from calls for equal rights for women, minorities, and LGBTQ people to a warped culture that blames white Conservative males for every evil ever perpetrated in human history. The Left swinging pendulum is now a wrecking ball that wants to take guns, stifle free speech, and weaponize the Justice System. What started out as innocent calls to recognize gay civil unions has morphed into a perverted grooming of children by emasculating boys, allowing perverted and mentally ill biological males to compete in girl's sports, and invade women's bathrooms and locker rooms. They are preventing parents from knowing about Transgender indoctrination of their own kids in schools. Dressing Boy Scouts in Pink Camo shirts is absolutely not Scouting as we knew it, and is not as benign as some Liberal Left wacko's would have us believe. They open our borders and flood the Nation with Illegal aliens to overburden and replace our culture. Where they see they can't win by ratifying Constitutional Amendments, they will destroy the entire Constitutional legal process via things like stacking the Supreme Court to get the results they demand. Though millions of foreigners flock to come here, they feel America is inherently evil, and must be radically changed. It would sure be nice to just turn off the television, dream about grouse hunting, and wish it would all go away. But Kamala Harris was picked as the most extreme Left U.S. Senator, even further Left than Bernie Sanders. If we sit back and let this election get away, we will all be a large step closer to losing not only our gun and hunting rights, but the soul of the Nation. We have our work cut out for us. The same Democrat leaders and Liberal Left Media who were concerned a few months ago that she was so inept and unpopular that Biden should replace her on the ticket are now lying to us again, and saying she did a wonderful job, and is the best choice imaginable. The inept Kalifornia Senator who couldn't win a single delegate in the 2020 Primary has been anointed in a totally undemocratic process. The sheep who believed their lies that Joe Biden was cogent, effective, and better than ever will swallow the new lies. I saw a Facebook post today from a nice loving Liberal who was sorry Donald Trump wasn't killed, but happy that at least one of his supporters died, and won't be voting for him. This movement is way too sick to ignore. I will be ready for hunting season, same as always. But I will also keep engaging like minded friends, relatives, and co-workers (and everyone here) to get involved. Make sure you are registered to vote, contact your representatives to demand Voter I.D. and other election security measures, volunteer to become a poll monitor, etc. Last week, I texted one friend who moved to another state, reminding him he might have a deadline to register to vote in his new state. He had forgotten and thanked me, and said he would remind his kids too. When elections are won or lost by large numbers of dead people voting, we need to get out every vote possible, and FIGHT like Donald Trump asked us to, immediately after being shot. https://protectthevote.com
The NRA has proven itself unreliable and corrupt. Period.

CZ: Northern Minnesota had a lot of rain and cold during the "critical period" (according to my local expert) up at our place this June. I do hope it wasn't enough to totally interrupt the clutching process. Some more birds-of-the-year would be very nice to see again.
I have another small conundrum to consider as I have several guns now that I'm really looking-forward to using this Fall (and each is quite different from the other). I'll lead-off with my usual go-to, my long & light Brummie 16, but...there is another long & very-light Damascus Brummie BLE (my son's) in 12 (which is only like 3-ounces heavier than the 16!) and then there is, of course, a long & light(er) Lang Damascus hammer 12. My brother is also clearly interested in trying out a (somewhat heavier) 1901 Smith hammergun on some birds (as am I) that I've been having a good time with on the local clays courses, so... yet-another pile of ancient doubles to haul across the vast Midwest (along with the usual [& substantial] magazine of appropriate ammo for each). A good problem to have, eh?
Now, if I can just get this bum ankle of mine to finally quit bugging me long enough to get-in some real long & brisk walks here...

Lloyd, 52 days until Grousemas here in Michigan! At 77, I'm already preparing for a hopefully good season. Gun and shells ready, just working on my fitness as you suggested. Hoping to make it to the U.P. with CZ, and spend some time in Gladwin as well. Looking forward to "Come October" helps to stabilize and ground my everyday life as you suggest! Looking forward to this coming season's game pictures as well! Karl ![[Linked Image from jpgbox.com]](https://www.jpgbox.com/jpg/73068_600x400.jpg)

I'm with you, Lloyd! Dove opener in VA only 39 days off, and this year I'm taking my first trip to northern WI to see if my Boykin and I can find a few grouse, having found none at all here in VA mountains the past couple of years. The pup is always ready, and I have been flailing a treadmill with my creaky bones so that I will be able to keep up with him. Briley is shipping my gun back to me today, having opened the full choked left barrel to LM (.015) to better complement the cylinder bored right barrel. It is quite the beater, a 16 gauge English made gun proofed in Birmingham between 1925 and 1954. Engraved on the rib is "H & TC Godfrey of Saffron Walden," which my research suggests was an iron monger (hardware store) where it was initially sold. Got it from Kirby Hoyt's "Rust and Dust" listings, well used but nicely functional and worked well on our VA woodcock last year. I still need to load a few more 2.5 inch Cheddite hulls, but I have plenty of time for that. The pup and I have a room booked in a dog friendly motel in Park Falls October 7-17, I have been studying on-line maps, and my wife may even join us for some or all of our Wisconsin adventure. Now that nobody is "ridin' with Biden" anymore, it's time to focus on the really important business of the fall: birds!

Keith, I get it. This will be a hard-fought election and will likely go down to the wire. I will vote my conscience and explain my opinions to anybody willing to listen, but....the "squishy center" here simply can't be very big anymore. Most folks have already made up their minds and are simply biding their time. I'll be darn disappointed if it doesn't go the way I want but I'm done getting worked-up about it all. I've got better things to do.

Made it out to the club today, Lloyd, shot with a guy I work with who is far out of my league, but, good enough to invite me along. Felt the rust coming out of my swing, shot two respectable rounds with a gun I’ve never hunted with, a 1956 A5 Standard 16. I still shoot the single sighting plane guns better than the other stuff, which, I don’t like, but, at least I can shoot, even if it is right handed.
Plenty of bike riding this summer. Hoping I’ll be ready when you are.
Best, Ted

I am going to start getting in better shape, too. And eating better. I took my dog out to the shoot at my club yesterday and let my dog lay between two trap pads while 10 guys competed. I love seeing the pictures of you gentlemen who hunt and bring home the birds. I've never seen a grouse in my life, so I really envy you. Let's forget the politics and keep it to ourselves. I think we have shown the hard feelings it causes and you win nothing from bickering back and forth. And thanks to you guys who post the tremendous pictures! We hope you keep them coming. Take care and good luck with the hunting!

![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/Y7MLF1Nh.jpg) This photograph has been the "home screen" on my cell phone since 2020. Every time I really "see" it (& stop for a moment to ponder it) it reminds me of what can be coming my way yet again, if only I maintain my heath and my "world". That sounds pretty easy to do on first blush, but...every year something seems to come along that threatens that eventuality. Both physically and politically, this game keeps gettings harder to play. Another picture... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](http://i.imgur.com/mkw7qdQh.jpg) Ted, I swear I'm going to have this one converted to oil and hang it in my gunroom. The never ending battle to eliminate the most efficient form of ammunition, the never ending assault on gun rights, the propaganda endlessly spewed in the public school system, the increased license fees in states like MN, by the leftest troll who masquerades as governor, the misspending of Pitman/Robertson funds to uses not aligned with the original intended uses, probably more that I missed, but, that will give you something to think about…. Best, Ted

So, Governor Walz didn’t raise license fees during his term? 100% BS? Since license fees go to the general fund, it will be hard to see exactly what Minnesotans get on the increase in fees. A perfect out for the lefties in charge, something you obviously can’t grasp. Unfortunately, if you don’t watch ‘em, they will steal the money: https://wildlife.org/usfws-approves-pittman-robertson-funds-in-violation-of-nepa/ The current mob in power has worked hard to eliminate all forms of lead. Haven’t been paying attention, have you? Best, Ted

Brent: Sadly, not bullshit.
Lead bans are gleefully considered everytime another lefty is elected to the White House (at my EPA job last year, it was all the rage to discuss its "wonderful" potential in the regional office here). On the State level, Minnesota has had several attempts to do this in the last few years, many states (including Colorado) are now "considering" it, and California has already done so. For somebody like me, who owns and shoots older (& even Damascus-barreled) double guns, it would be very hard to continue that practice. The economics of replacing lead would effectively end most sport hunting and target shooting and the proponents know this all-to-well. In the NIOSH Manuel (the handbook used by industrial hygienists for endangerment assessments and the process of choosing how an environmental cleanup will progress, especially concerning PPE for the workers involved) lead is addressed much like all the other contaminants of concern. All the naturally-occurring & synthetic industrial chemical elements are addressed there, including the many speciations (or forms) of lead (I would note that many [if not most] of the other "elements" listed are far-more toxic to human health and the environment) but only lead is so-politically charged and then so deeply-focused upon by the regulators, and the reasons for that are patently obvious to anybody that is paying attention.

I don't have any trouble getting lead. I never have. Primers- yes for a while, but that wasn't because of the government. If lead is going to be in shortage it's because of the increase in battery powered cars. Gun owners should have a good supply of lead built up by now. I've got enough reloading supplies to last long after I'm gone. There's 50 bags of lead shot sitting inside the door in a crate at the gun shop I go to about once a month. Just waiting for people to buy. And my gun club has all the shot people need for sale.

So, exactly what happened over the last year, Lloyd, politically? The license lyin'Ted wails about costs you the same this year as last. The shot used to kill them grouses will still be the same lead shot that you could use last year. So, that really can't be an excuse that has "come along" this year to threaten your "playing the game". I shoot the same old doubles that you do. Hunting with them, even for waterfowl, much less grouse, is not problem, as you well know. Really, you are just wagging your tail looking for an argument. I'm happy to oblige. I'll be up there with my nonresident license and my old doubles slinging lead at grouse as well. Really, not a damn thing has changed except that there are more mosquitos. You can blame that on Biden, of course. But really, nothing has changed but you.

You can't blame people if they want to do something about the safety of wildlife or the extinction of animals. And I have been listening to people wanting to take our guns away for 50 years. I don't see that happening.

And I have been listening to climate change, CO2 emissions, corporate greed and the dangers of fat and red meat in diet for 50 years. Purer BS
Jimmy and Brent with the sickly looking Golden, did you vote for Al Gore?

Jimmy and Brent with the sickly looking Golden, did you vote for Al Gore? You are pretty creepy guy. You and Ted, The Fuse, craigd, and Stanley, among a few others will be delighted to know that the "sickly looking golden" is now dead, as of Friday morning at 15 yrs and 22 days. Did that make your day? As a golden retriever, he was a better man than you will ever be, but you will never be able to comprehend that. You tell'em Gus. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/NzuI4dd.jpg)

I’m trying to remember if I ever made a negative comment about anybodies dog here, or anywhere else, and I’m not feeling it. I do remember the neighbor who had two Goldens out of the same litter, one hunted, one didn’t, but, the non hunter stayed with momma and was a great guard dog. No harm, no foul, as it were. I told people about that.
A different neighbor has a pair (sisters) of Goldens that were part of a study at the U of M trying to determine why some Goldens had short lifespans. Inconclusive, and his dogs are about 14, at the moment, so, it isn’t a thing with all Goldens. I told people about that. I’m sorry your dog died, Brent. I have been where you are, and I will go there, willingly, again. Gus was not a man, he was a dog, and dogs bring a different sort of acceptance and loyalty to a man that they consider their owner. A man can never be a dog, and a dog can never be a man. But, together, they can make a pretty good team.
Don’t assume the worst in people who disagree with you, here, Brent. Your dog wouldn’t have.
You have my sympathy.
Best, Ted

Best, Ted Your memory is pretty selective Ted, but this is nothing new. And actually, I have never assumed the worst about people that disagree with me, and even spend many days every year, hunting, competitively shooting, and many other activities with them. But I have certainly let Fuse, craigd, Stanley, bipolar Kolar, and most especially you, among others, prove just how bad you can be to the world on your very own. Some are borderline "people" at best.

He doesn't have grandkids that have to negotiate the third worldchit hole that you are trying to turn the US of A into. If there's a bird dog heaven, I have one or two up there that would welcome gus.

It’s easy to get frustrated with constant political news, but focusing on preparing for hunting season is more enjoyable and practical. Build your stamina with regular walks, eat healthily, and take care of any medical or dental needs before the season starts. Ensuring your physical fitness, including a check-up with your doctor, is crucial for a good hunting experience.
Make sure your gear is ready: maintain your guns, check your hunting clothes and boots, and secure the right ammunition. If you’ve added new guns, test them thoroughly. By focusing on these preparations, you’ll enhance your anticipation for the season and find more joy in the process. So, take a break from the media and get ready for a great hunting season.

Jimmy once again shows his ignorance. Lead for shot and bullets is in short supply for two reasons. The Liberal Left Greenies have caused all of the lead smelting operations in the U.S. to be shut down. And lead and other components have been in short supply due to increased demand caused by the wars in the Ukraine and the Middle East due to Biden's foreign policy blunders. Electric vehicle batteries do not use lead. The batteries in E.V.'s use Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese, and Graphite. Lead shot, primers, loaded ammo, guns, gasoline, groceries, mortgage rates, and just about everything else has become more expensive because our dollars are worth at least 20% less due to the inflation caused by Biden and Democrat economic policies. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/tRKfXvcb/Inflation-Biden.png) The ten year 1994 Assault Weapon Ban was signed by Democrat Bill Clinton. It expired in 2004, and anti-gun Democrats have been pushing hard to reinstate it ever since. The predicted increase in murders due to them did not happen, and most Republicans vote against a new assault rifle ban. More people die from hands, fists, feet, than rifles. The 2020 total for all rifles was 455, which is a tiny fraction of the over 100,000 per year who die from drug overdoses, largely due to Biden's open border. The Democrat war on the 2nd Amendment is not about saving lives. It is about taking our Constitutional Rights and disarming us.

.....Did that make your day?..... Your dog is none of my business, unless your creepyarse wants to make it so Good post craigd. It never once occurred to me to post an announcement about the death of my dogs here, or to look for sympathy because of it. It is not at all surprising to see the Nutty Professor use the death of his dog as an excuse to lash out with a childish personal attack on his many enemies here. There have been quite a few doggy death announcement posted here. I suppose it could help some cope with what is a huge loss. Only this one strikes me as sick to the core.

Since the subject is Grouse - Any members here fortunate enough to shoot this coming Glorious Twelfth in England or Scotland? Would love to see images of the guns, dogs, and moors.
I'm up to 5.5 miles a day, plus my routine M-F. I plan on visiting the ADK and CNY again this fall before Virginia.

Do you still want to argue Global warming, keith? Just look at the news every night and see all those fires burning in the entire western United States? And all those records setting temperatures every day all summer long? That's called global warming. Duhhhhhh!!! Boy Jimmy, you just continue to confirm your willful ignorance with almost every post you put up here. But knock yourself out... JR

I see the mask is off and the real Jimmy is here, to what do we owe this honor? It isn't often we see the real you.
But, I have to tell you, I prefer the obnoxious authentic you to the smarmy, syrupy, phony you we normally see.
Son just where in this picture would you like to be?

Wait a minute! Tim and keith both from Pennsylvania. Isn't that the same place that republican was shooting from the rooftop? Must be the water over there. Too much lead in the water table. No more lead shot for you guys ! 😄 This is nothing to joke about. You should be permanently banned from this forum just for this.

Yawn! You guys should have been banned a long time ago. You aren't happy unless you destroy every thread. And how about all the rude, foul remarks and lies you made about Joe Biden? Give it a rest. People here are tired of it. We were having a decent conversation until keith jumped in with the name calling. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

....ALL the lead smelting operations have shut down? Really? I guess all of those 25 lb bags of shot I see in all the stores are just falling out of the sky. Who cares where it's coming from, as long as people around here have all the lead shot they need....
....So why don't you just shut up. It's like I told you in the message I sent you that you said you didn't read , but I know you did. You just keep showing people that you have clabbers for brains. Since your search'infool powers have let you down, why don't you message the prof for a quick lesson. I'm sure he would present it in a way that makes you feel good about your self, and he will be empowered by your cyber presence. Pro tip, prof sprays more overseas smelted lead over the pristine countryside than you could possibly imagine.

By the way, Lloyd. Yesterday, I took your advice. Went for a walk. Only about 1/2 mile, but it was a start. I'll get it up to a couple of miles a day before long. There's a world of difference for me- between a walk around the neighbor on pavement and walking through stubble and weeds in a field.

Jimmy: Keep it up! With good health perhaps, comes wisdom and insight as well (I think about alot of things on my walks afield, maybe to my detriment?). And you're right about the walks in civilization (& on pavement). They aren't as good as soft stubble, or even the hard stuff, but I firmly believe that it all adds up.

I'll try here to briefly address Jimmy's continued stupidity and Trolling foolishness.
First, Jimmy has not taken me off his IGNORE list. He never really IGNORED me or anyone else. He used that as a dishonest excuse to have one-sided arguments. He continued to respond to Posts and people that he claimed he could not see... such as the last post I made in this Thread. Jimmy is as phony as anyone can be.
Jimmy W. also has sent me several PM's... even though he claimed to IGNORE me. I have not bothered to even open any PM's from Jimmy, or the recent Spam PM's his fellow Libtard SKB. Jimmy falsely claims that he knows I opened them and read them. That is another lie from Jimmy. He can look at all of the presumably stupid PM's he sent me, and at the bottom of his message, it will say Unread by: none --if I had opened it. It will say Unread by: keith --if I was telling the truth when I said I never bothered to look at his messages.
I challenge Jimmy to prove that I opened his PM's, or to apologize for telling lies.
In Jimmy's first of his serial responses to me, he claimed that I said ALL lead smelters have been shut down. Right there shows why I don't bother to waste my time arguing with Jimmy in PM's. Jimmy is clearly retarded, and can't understand plain English. I said, "The Liberal Left Greenies have caused all of the lead smelting operations in the U.S. to be shut down." I did not say all U.S. Shot Tower operations have been shut down. So shot and bullets are still made in the U.S. using higher priced lead scrap or imported virgin lead. Then we have the ammo component shortages created by the huge demand to supply ammo for two wars caused by Biden foreign policy disasters. We also have such highly inflated prices of virtually everything that Democrats don't even mention Bidenomics anymore. And we had supply chain issues that Biden was unable to resolve even after the Covid19 pandemic died down.
Jimmy says that the unemployment rate was higher when Trump left office, which is true. If Jimmy had a brain, he would realize that this was entirely due to the global pandemic he already mentioned. Prior to having the China Virus unleashed on the world, the Trump economy was booming, and our GDP was much higher than what Obama said would be the new normal. And if Jimmy was capable of telling the truth, he would also state that it was Democrats who demanded Lock-Downs and Shut-Downs of jobs and businesses. And they demanded extensions of those Lock-Downs, because they knew they could use the high unemployment numbers against Trump in an election year. Democrats wanted to kill the entire U.S. economy to hurt Trump, but they did not care about Social Distancing at BLM and ANTIFA Riots or massive funerals for dead felons. It was Republican Governors who ended the insane Lock-Downs, and Biden resisted that until it became clear it would hurt Democrats in the 2022 Mid-term elections.
That concludes responding to Jimmy's first demonstration of ignorance. My response is not for Jimmy. It is for those who have to deal with his incessant Trolling here, since he apparently got kicked off the Indiana Gun Owners forum.
The NRA has proven itself unreliable and corrupt. Period.

Now for Part 2 of responding to Jimmy W's Trolling and stupidity: Jimmy has asked me to re-enter the Global Warming debate with him, because it is now Summer, and in the Summer, it almost always gets hot in the Northern Hemisphere. I don't really care to go back to that Off-Topic subject with Jimmy, because he repeatedly has shown us that no amount of proof to the contrary will sway him. And worse, he was unable to grasp that even historical climate graphs posted by him actually proved he was wrong. During college, when a majority of climate "Scientists" were predicting a coming Ice Age, I spent the summer working for my uncle in Kalifornia, and we often had to travel through the entire state, and Nevada and Oregon as well. On my first day there, my cousin and I went to a warehouse my uncle owned near Mather Air Force Base, to load a flat bed truck with several tons of steel floor grating and other materials. It was 104 degrees, and I was amazed that it was so dry, I barely broke a sweat with all that physical labor. We had to use a cutting torch to burn some grating, and had to wet down a large area to make sure the sparks would not ignite nearby weeds and cause a wildfire. I stood by with a hose while my cousin used the torch. He explained that most of Kalifornia is as dry as a popcorn fart in the Summer, except for irrigated farm land. He said we could end up in jail if we accidentally started a fire, and huge wildfires that burned for weeks were common there. On weekends, we went on several camping trips at Silver Lake, Caples Lake, Lake Tahoe, etc. Lake levels were very low due to drought conditions, and cooking or campfires were strictly prohibited. It rained for a short period one day that entire Summer, and it made Newspaper headlines because that was so unusual. In short, nothing has changed except the false narratives that went from a coming Ice Age, to one where the Ice Caps are melting and the oceans are heating and rising to flood every coastal area. Here's an interesting article showing how complex and uncertain this subject is. Dumb "Chicken Littles" will cherry pick it to death: https://e360.yale.edu/features/greening-drylands-carbon-dioxide-climate-changeJimmy goes on to say that EV's use a lead acid battery for electrical systems, which is true. That auxillary 12 volt battery is smaller than the typical lead acid battery used to start the engine in Internal Combustion vehicles. So his silly claim that EV's use a large amount of lead is also wrong. I think you must hold the record on this website, to shut down more threads than anybody else. So let's see you do it again. Jimmy is also too dumb to understand that I don't shut down any Threads here. Dave Weber is the Administrator, and the only one here who can lock Threads or delete them entirely. Jimmy's fellow Libtards were successful in convincing Dave that I should be subject to Moderation, which means Dave must read every Post I submit, and decide to permit it or to censor it entirely. That also means Dave now reads Threads he otherwise wouldn't, except if a bunch of crybabies started complaining en masse. So when a Thread is locked, and my name appears as the last Post made, that means Dave approved my Post, but decided that he did not want the war of words or off-topic matter to continue. If I was the sole cause of having those Threads locked, Dave could just as easily censor or reject my post, and allow the Thread to continue without any input from me. So far as I know, only the Liberal Left weenie SKB and I are currently subject to this Moderation. It appears that some here feel Jimmy should actually be banned for his incessant Trolling, disruptions, and his phony behavior of igniting shit-storms, and then going back to delete and/or edit previous posts, in order to act innocent. But unlike many others, I don't tell Dave how to run his Forum. I see the mask is off and the real Jimmy is here, to what do we owe this honor? It isn't often we see the real you.
But, I have to tell you, I prefer the obnoxious authentic you to the smarmy, syrupy, phony you we normally see. I looks as if it is time for Jimmy to shift gears and go back to playing the innocent act again... you know... before Dave catches on.

keith---Go back through the past six pages (to July 1st) and count the number of threads that have a yellow lock beside them showing that they have been shut down. Then look across the page to the right and see who the last person to post was. I count at least 10 threads that you were the last person to post before they got shut down and/or your last post was deleted. So, because of YOUR stupid remarks and ridiculous comments and trolling, those threads got shut down. That is what I meant when I said that- YOU SHUT DOWN THREADS. In other words, because of you, they were locked out. It just goes to show everyone who does the trolling, disruptions and sh-- storms as you put it. But I believe they already knew. Theres your proof. Now tell us- who should be banned? Looks like someone has ALREADY caught on to you, big boy. Nuff said. 🙄

Jimmy, I explained how it works for the others who are forced to read your repeated drivel, since you are apparently still banned from the Indiana Gun Owners forum due to your Trolling. I never expected that you would have the intelligence to understand my explanation of how Threads get locked, which is why I didn't direct it to you. If I had the power of an Administrator or Moderator to shut down Threads here, or to block Posts, nobody here would ever have to read your stupidity again. Then you would move on and continue to be a Trolling idiot on some other gun forum. BTW, I was hoping that you would back up the lie you told when you said that I had actually read the repeated Spam PM's you sent to me, while you also claimed to be IGNORING me. I even explained to everyone exactly how you could prove your false assertion, and hoped that you might at least act like a man and apologize for your lie. I am really not at all surprised that you are unable to do either, because you are a Trolling phony.

Yeah, right. We especially loved the thread where you said, "I want to thank Dave Weber for permitting this BS thread." Then about that time--BANG!! BA-ZAP!! SHUT DOWN!! LOCKED OUT!! Ha-ha!! 😄😄 Give it a rest, Pennsylvania.

Ha-ha!! 😄😄 Give it a rest, Pennsylvania. So tell us this Dimmy W... who was it that locked that particular Thread? Was it me or Dave Weber who has the power to do that? If you think it was my last post that caused it to be locked, then why wouldn't Dave simply toss my post, instead of allowing it to appear? Why wouldn't he just give me the boot like they did to you on the INGO forum? This is exactly why I didn't address you. You have the mindless simpleton mentality that allows you to be convinced that the same Kalifornia wildfires that burned in the dry season for millennia are suddenly evidence that the oceans are boiling. Instead of engaging in conjecture, why don't you ask Dave Weber who locked that particular Thread, and why? Why don't you join your Libtard buddies and ask him to ban me? I don't think you will do that because you are a fearful little Troll. Speaking of your fearful behavior, I notice you have neither apologized for lying when you claimed I read your Spam PM's, nor did you show us any proof of your false claim. Are you that small and weak that you are unable to ever admit being wrong?

Oh my gosh! I just noticed that the Covid-19 Thread has been LOCKED. Oh the humanity! All of those guys were just having a good time sharing accounts of their experiences with the China Virus and then... one evil Thread Locker came along and obviously caused it to be LOCKED Down tighter than a Democrat Mask Mandate. According to you Dimmy W, it had to be the fault of the last person who made a Post in that Thread. So I checked and the last person to make a Post was you Dimmy W ... Then about that time--BANG!! BA-ZAP!! SHUT DOWN!! LOCKED OUT!! Ha-ha!! 😄😄 Give it a rest.... You certainly have some loose screws Dimmy W.... More loose screws than anyone on this forum. But you didn't have to come here and ruin the Covid-19 Thread for everyone. You should hang your head in shame. Now hurry and email or PM your puppet masters and see if they will give you a clever reply. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/1z1tvQpS/Loose-Screw-Dimmy.jpg)

Steve, What gun will you be carrying? The H&H, or something smaller for grouse?
PS. This morning, I tried to find your website from your profile here. Did not work. Did you change websites or have a new one under construction? Just a head's up, in case it was supposed to work.

Brent, Thanks for the heads up on my website, I need to look into that. I picked up a new grouse gun last year, a CS Rosson BLE 12ga 2&1/2" gun with 26" tubes. I shoot RST 2&1/2" shells, 7/8oz loads and they are plenty for Blue Grouse. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/rcJiCZql.jpg)

Dave's rules....no need to constantly complain about them. We are both in a bed of our own making. Of course we could take our disputes to PM's but then you would be denied the audience that you so crave. PM or call me directly if you would like. That is how adults(men at least, not that I consider you one) deal with conflict. Looking forward to hearing from you directly Karen. All my best, Steve

I would love to try one for dinner some day too. If you are going to throw only 7/8 ounces at them, you should try one of those petite 2" 12s someday.

We don't have grouse around here. You guys are lucky. Pheasant, dove and quail. But no grouse. Nice picture, by the way, Steve.

That is how adults(men at least, not that I consider you one) deal with conflict. Looking forward to hearing from you directly Karen. All my best, Steve It's one thing to simply say that Liberalism is a Mental Illness... It is so much better when Liberals go out of their way to prove it. In the QUOTE above, we see the Liberal Weenie SKB making several false claims, and also continuing his/her futile attempt to establish a PM or phone dialog. I have already told this mentally ill fool that he/she is wasting time by continuing to send me Spam PM's, which I do not bother to read for the same reason that I don't read PM's from Dimmy W. I just don't have time for phony lying Libtards who support anti-gun Democrats. I would like to see just where I complained about being subject to Moderation, when I explained to Dimmy W. why my Posts are sometimes the last made just before Dave locks a Thread. I am just fine with Moderation, and in fact, sometimes I think a little more Moderation might be a good thing: You really are top dickhead around here.
And a tough guy, hiding behind a keyboard.
What the [censored - come on man!] is wrong with some of you? Looks like Stevies little "friend" had a big meltdown there! Nothing a little Moderation and some Midol wouldn't fix. And unlike Stevie, I didn't try to bribe Dave with little donations to cause Stevie to be subject to his/her Moderation: Done, thanks Dave. I know you do not enjoy moderating this board but it is greatly appreciated... It is that time of the year again, rant season is in full swing and hearing Billy complain about being on delay just brings out my giving spirit. Consider sending Dave a few bucks, it is worth it just to watch the meltdowns. Of course, that may have worked out better if those little attempted bribes came even close to what is apparently owed to Dave for several years of Free Advertising of business ventures in her Tagline, apparently without bothering to pay Dave the $12.00 fee for each and every successful sale made as a result of that advertising. That's how adults (men at least, not that I consider her one) deal with debt obligations. If Stevie wishes to have a dialog right here and now, he/she could start by telling us if he/she pays Dave for each and every gunsmithing job or gun importation sale made as a result of his/her continual Tagline Free Advertising. I've asked that question numerous times, but this Libtard who wants a dialog continues the Free Tagline Ads, in spite of knowing that Dave doesn't like people using his forum as a vehicle to promote their business ventures. So it's amusing to see this phony lecturing about "Dave's Rules". And he/she is still afraid to tell us whether or not he/she pays Dave those $12.00 fees. Of course, I don't expect a coward like Stevie to offer up any proof any more than I expect Dimmy W. to show us proof that I ever read any of his Spam PM's either. I have told this low T beta soy-boy gender bender that if he/she has anything to say to me, then he/she should do it right here in the open forum instead of hiding behind PM's. Yet this fool persists in asking for a PM or phone dialog when we have nothing in common and nothing to discuss. All just my opinions, as always. https://twitter.com/i/status/1795810096775118960

All my best, Steve Wow, Stevie sure made a quick departure here. It's especially amusing because he/she also sent me another Spam PM with the title "You are a coward". Of course, I didn't bother to read the message, because I have repeatedly informed this loser that if she has anything to say to me, she can say it right here in the open forum. But Stevie would rather sling shit behind the scenes (like a Monkey), all while telling us cute little stories about how Republicans and Libtards like Stevie all get along so well at her pheasant camp. It's easy to spot a Liberal phony if you just pay attention to what they actually do... rather than what they say. It seems to me that it is Stevie who is the Coward, because he/she always seems to put his/her tail between his/her legs, and runs off whenever I ask that very simple question about whether or not he/she pays Dave Weber the customary $12.00 fee for advertising and selling things here. Stevie does continual Free Advertising of his/her business ventures in her Tagline, but is afraid to tell us if she pays Dave $12.00 for each and every sale made as a result of that Free Advertising. I keep catching myself wanting to tell her to "Man Up" and answer that very simple question... but that would involve actually being a man. I do know how to find Monkey Stevie. I also know how to make her run and hide from the truth.
