Raimey: that gun has some sort of large scroll Damas Crolle

The old thread re: Cluny has lost the images.
Early SD&G catalogs listed the Lindner Dalys as having Cluny, Bernard, Turkish First Quality and Chine (Ferlacher Chine was also Turkish)
Cluny is in France north of Lyon and not far from Geneva - more famous for Burgundy & Benedictines than gun making.
There is also a Cluny Castle in Aberdeenshire. Cluny means "from the meadow" in Gaelic and is an old Irish boy's name

Unfortunately I've never found documentation of a "Cluny" pattern...but some day the Damascus Pattern Rosetta Stone will be unearthed! smile
