In the fifties, the Grulla was imported by a company named Dakin. Most Grulla guns of that period had Dakin markings because Grulla and Union Armera were not familiar names in the USA at that time. Yours is a beautiful example. Are you sure it is a 1959 gun? The catalog entries go up to Grade 214. The popular grade at that time was the Grade 215, a fully engraved sidelock that sold for $300.00 if I recall correctly. It was praised by Jack O'Connor. I assume it was a great high grade gun like the Grullas today, but I'm not sure. O'Connor, of course, also praised the Arizaga 28 gauge, which was a pretty rough gun.
