I have seen several guns which had been painted to protect them from salt marsh use. Once saw a Model 12 that that had been chrome plated by the owner so he did not have to clean it and could start happy hour that much sooner. He did own a liquor distributorship so to him drinking was a important part of shooting. He also had one of the best cane gun collection on Earth and a trip to his basement was worth a lifetime of one of a kind guns that he had collected. Had a bullet form the rifle that was shot out of a (the) book depository.
