Poor, clueless, and bitter Uncle Ted. I wish more people felt like you do. With lake-effect mild winters and milder summers, world class hunting and fishing, good food, great scenery, and plenty of things to do, yes, I can understand why you would not want to live there. So little to [censored - come on man!] and moan about.

Carry on Ted. You are entertaining.

Mild winters:

Clearly, you just got there.

Best,
Ted

And yet almost every day this winter ot was 5-10 F water up there than down hear and last summer 5-10 F cooler. We get -20 to -30 f here also. Not hardly the end of the world.
I also neglected to mention a couple of decent gun dealers and gun shops as well. Dang it's starting to sound a little bit like Heaven.

Where did you learn how to write?

Best,
Ted

Same place you did, but I'm typing on a phone with autocorrect. Now tell us how much you you know about climate, Ted. Let the bitterness pour out of you.

And maybe you could get one of those poor climate refegees from CA to do a house swap with you, since the cold troubles you so.

Well, I know you are basing your “mild winters” comment, on your whole one winter of experience, or, so you wrote, which helps me to understand why you believe the climate hoax.

Best,
Ted

Ted, what you know about me is so pitifully small, I can't help but wonder what gives you the courage to make any comment about me at all. Meanwhile, a hell of a lot of people want to live along the lake. There is probably a reason for that. Maybe you should check it out, instead of living in your mid20th Century memories. You really are completely clueless.

Hmmm, apparently you have a sense of humor. Whats the prize for courage, you kept a big ole stack of blank diplomas, for bestowing on peasants at the starbuks by the lake.

Oh yes! And a Dixie Cup trophy as well! I don't know the Starbucks (careful about your typing, lest Bitter Uncle Ted gets after you about it smile ) by the lake. Perhaps you can tell us about it. I do not frequent Starbucks anywhere actually.

All I know about you is what you post here, and elsewhere Prof.

You are correct, incredibly small. In more ways than one. From both sides, as it were.

Craig’s misspelled word was deliberate, and the deeper thinkers clearly see the two for one of lampooning a liberal institution and little old you, something it would seem you clearly missed.

Your spelling issues are not really deliberate.

Still funny though.

Hey, for what it is worth, I have a lot of time on that lake. There are far, far better lakes to live on than Superior. With better towns than Duluth, which is a run down liberal hell hole, that participates in woke nonsense like giving a fleet of electric buses a run.

Best,
Ted

More of your fine humor Bitter Uncle Ted. I love it. craig is well known for his irrational posts. That last one of his was one of his more lucid attempts. Always humorous as well (yes).

So we are both entertaining each other. What more could you want? Why be so bitter? Always complaining. No one here whines quite like you. Not even Stanley.

In the meantime, why not move yourself to one of those far better towns? Feel free to name them and all the great things they have to offer. I'm sure I've been to most, if not all of them. Meanwhile tell me what else you know about "that lake". I'm sure you must know something, however pitifully small.

I know that the fishing usually sucks, and if you want to go swimming, you can sometimes get an hour in near the pier on Stockton Island, in September, if the sun has been shinning to warm the water up a bit. I’m still the only guy I know who did an hour in the lake at that spot. I’d pay admission to see you fall in the lake, in your clothes, off the sailboat, that we chartered every summer up until 9/11. Or, out the back of my speedboat on a beer run to Bayfield, nicer town, better food, fewer slums, by the way.

I’m sure for an Iowan, Superior looks really beautiful, but, as lakes go, it offers less to do, and you better know what the hell you are doing if you are planning on boating on it. When they say they won’t find your body, they mean it.
If you want to actually use the lake, rather than sit on your ass and look at it, Rainy, Leech, Lake of the Woods, or the White fish chain in Wisconsin are better for almost anything I do on a lake, spring, summer, fall and winter. Hayward is a nice little town.

How many guns have you bought from the dealer in Gary/New Duluth?

Zero?

Best,
Ted
