Hammergun is certainly correct that the D guns are built on the Anson & Deeley action, and the F guns on the Facile Princeps action. I've only owned a couple Greeners and neither very recently. However, for some reason my mind wants to associate the side safety to the F guns and the tang safety to the D guns.

Larry, I have a Facile P. with a top tang safety, Larry. I don't know if they are as common as on a Deeley action but at least one FP was made with the top tang safe.
