My GP advised me years ago that one ibuprofen and one acetaminophen, or a naproxen sodium will work far better than two of any one of those. That is a good cocktail, Stan. But I take a lot more than that. My urologist told me, when I was having pain from a small kidney stone, that I could take 2 ibuprofen every four hours, 3 every 6 hours, or 4 every 8 hours. I take 4 with two Tylenol when I'm hurting anywhere. Therapeutic dose and all. I would never know it if I took just one of each.
