OP Parabola Sidelock Joined: Dec 2020 Posts: 1,276 Likes: 609	Mark, It has Birmingham Proof marks so it was probably made in Birmingham, although as Liverpool never had a Proof House that is not entirely conclusive. The carving is not dissimilar to guns made by William Ford in Birmingham.

Higham and Hooton and Jones, but Carswell acquired them during or after the First World War when the gun trade was declining he may have just bought the goodwill and the rights to the names rather than acquiring premises or any workshops. I don’t know enough about the Liverpool gun trade to have any idea as to what extent (if at all) guns were made in Liverpool.
