I promise I'll quit after this one, but I had to share this! Yesterday, I was hunting a CRP (public) piece of ground in Nebraska. A farmer was cutting corn on the property next to it (private) He was almost finished and each time the combine reached my end a horde gaggle flock of pheasants would flush. I took a position about 100 yards from the end of the corn field and pass shot roosters with the big 10! I got my three and was sitting down in the grass watching the birds come out, when on the last pass, 2 coyotes ran out. They were watching the combine and headed right for me. I made my first ever, and probably only ever double on coyotes! One at about 50 yards one at about 25. The farmer, who up to that time clearly wasnt wildly enthusiastic about me shooting birds in front of his combine, gave me a High Five, and invited me to hunt the rest of his ground. So far I have shot the 10 nine times, 6 roosters and 2 coyotes. Life is good!
