You have confirmed what I already suspected.
Worthy and worth are indeed two separate things, and while I never buy guns to make money it is always nice to know something is worth what it has cost you.
I do agree however if a gun really appeals to you it can be worth doing even if financially it may not be the best of investments.
I may simply have the barrels shortened an inch or so (neither are choked or rifled so I guess its less of a sin) ,have the action tightened and shoot it as is,depending on my smiths closer assessment.
Can we narrow the date down on this gun at all?
As the barrels appear neither oval or rifled but are cylinder would "ball" refer to buckshot or slugs?
