I wondered if anyone noticed the Charles Daly LS&B has on Gunbroker. It is one of the oldest I have seen. SN 239, all matching. It is a left side sidelever hammer gun. Doesn't appear to be a Linder.

Has a few downsides. Stock broken off, broken hammer and a little rough. Worst thing is the quarter size hole in one barrel about halfway between the fore end and muzzle. They appear to have recovered the missing piece, replaced it and used the new skip welding technique to rebond. I suspect this was done so the pressure would bleed off through the unwelded sections and allow the patch to stay in place.

Dalys usually move there but bidding has been stalled at $13 for a long time, although there are several bidders.

"Bore Condition: The bores are dark. There is fouling, pitting and erosion in the bores. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, these bores rate a 2 out of 10."

Full marks to the lister for honesty.

Theyhave always been that. It's one reason I like to buy from consignment sellers instead of owners on GB.

Makes me wonder how a gun can get in that condition.

My guess is that the Gun Broker listing is a joke, but as someone that has had 3 missing forearms replaced, I believe someone would be happy to have the forearm iron and latch for $13.

It's up to $26.00 now...........you would think any one part would be worth that IF someone needed it.
