Old school is really getting to me what with punching percussion caps out of coke cans with the Forstner Tap-O-Cap and punching out felt for lube wads. What next? I've never cast bullets or round balls. Did cast some spline weights for drafting and a couple of centerboard weights in my misspent youth. Geez, I hope I don't get the urge to make bp.

My kitchen stinks! Just spent the weekend making up a couple of batches. Good job 'er indoors is in Italy for the month.
Leaving thin films to harden overnight will be OK - just be careful that you don't start to get visible variation of depth and evenness, this can start to become apparent after several layers have built up. If it does happen, cut it back with finishing oil on fine wire wool and keep going.
