Of course the gun won't fire. It has an inertial setting trigger. The bottom barrel snaps but doesn't set the top barrel cos there's no boom! There's nothing "locked out".

I have to admit that I find the smoke blowing Beretta hard to believe for a number of reasons. But that might just be me.

It would be very difficult to wear out a Beretta beyond rebuildable IMO. But then anything is possible if there's a dedicated effort.
