The above shotgun, early Winchester import, 2 barrel set, both numbered to the gun, one being a single barrel trap. Non-selective trigger and from my recollection of ones i've had before fires the bottom barrel first. The single barrel is an upper. So how do you go about firing the upper barrel only? The gun came with 2 complete trigger groups. The spare trigger group obviously fires both barrels. The one that's in the gun, I've not removed to look at yet.

Have you dropped a snap cap in the single with appropriate trigger and tried it?

And by looking at the triggers it fires the correct barrel?

Checked after posting, and both trigger groups are numbered to the gun just like both barrel sets. based on how complete the rig is and everything matching and having the spare parts kit and original case, i'm going to assume the spare group is set up to fire the top barrel first. Will try them both tonight.

I think before i send anything to anybody i'll figure out if i even have a problem but i really doubt i do. i know the group that was in the gun when i bought it fires the bottom first.

The only problem Perazzi triggers have that I've noticed is that they are incredibly Simple and easy to service and incompetent owners that think they can "fix them up" .

So, one trigger assembly is set up to fire bottom barrel first. The other fires the top barrel first. Which is what i expected anyway after noticing the trigger assemblies were numbered to the gun just like the barrels.

Meaning, it doesn't need to be sent anywhere or worked on. I'd never had one set up like that before; did not know the triggers could be set to fire that way. Yeah, these need no fixing.

There is a reason that it is set up to fire the bottom barrel first when you have the O/U barrels on the gun. And the top barrel when the single barrel is on the gun. My Bereta Silver Pigeon has a switch on it to set the gun up that way..........When you are shooting both barrels, like at skeet, say, you shoot one shot more often than you shoot two. So, you want the bottom barrel to shoot first. Theoretically, shooting the bottom barrel more reduces wear on the gun. Because when you shoot the top barrel, there is a greater angle and force against the gun barrel than there is when you shoot the bottom barrel. So, when you shoot skeet or sporting clays, you are shooting one shot more often than you are shooting two shots or both barrels This saves wear and tear on the gun. On my Beretta 686 there is a switch on top of the receiver. If I want to shoot doubles, I have to move the switch one way in order to use both barrels. And the bottom barrel will always shoot first. If I decide to shoot trap and put one barrel back on the gun, the gun won't shoot, because it is set to shoot the bottom barrel first. So in order to shoot the top barrel alone, I have to take a small screw driver, remove the screw and switch the lever back over to use the single barrel. Manufacturers make the gun this way so that it will reduce wearing out the gun faster. If you switch them so that the top barrel fires first when the O/U barrels are on the gun, you are defeating the wear on the gun and you will knock it off face quicker.
