I'm filling out the paperwork for my RBL (very nice) at my ffl and she says "We got an LC Smith in yesterday, want to see it". Of course I say sure, I'd love to. This is not a "douglegun shop" and they don't "get too many of these".
It's a field grade 20 with 28" barrels, straight stock, mirror bores and 14 1/2 to 15" lop (it fits) with original hard rubber plate. Stock finish is peeling but no gouges. 50% case color. 70% barrel blueing with a few little spots of superficial rust.
I want it.
No tag yet and she says the gunsmith still has to look it over before they set a price. I will be back to the shop tomorrow to pick up the RBL after the 24 hour cooling off period.
What price range is reasonable?
