My 2cents: I would tell the owner to put them on GB or consign them with one of the reputable online sellers that uses GB. List them with a penny start-no reserve and they'll go away at the price of whatever the market at the time will dictate.
The guns are what they are! These where the owner's uncle's treasures and anything he now gets out them is money in the bank.
