I met Kirby Hoyt at the MI UP clays event, Father's Day 2010. I ended up trading a PH Parker 16 bore with Damascus barrels with one of his many friends who also had used doubles on his table. He reminded me, in some ways, of the late Bill Jaqua--no pressure, low key, very gun knowledge-able,, 3 years later he had a nice Trap Grade 12 gauge Elsie on his list, so I called him and asked for more details, as it had a HOT. To close the deal, he took it outside to his backyard range, held the phone close, loaded both barrels and test fired it twice, one for each setting- Bingo-I bought it, And Kirby is the only gun dealer I know of that gives Veterans free shipping.
