Their descriptions and pics are hard to decipher. Both leave wiggle room for CSMC to say "I told you so". CSMC has been doing this for a long time, so they know exactly what they're up to.

Check these out. Are they redone to "as new" or are they "original"? I'm guessing they're redone because the listing never says they're all original (and they look like all the other vintage guns CSMC is selling).

But it's easy to be taken advantage of if you don't know what to ask or how to read between the lines.

Holland & Holland - Full Sidelock, SxS, Matched Pair, 12ga. 28" Chopper Lump Barrels.
Single trigger, hand detachable, sidelock ejectors, made in the golden era of gun making, 1935. 28” chopper lump barrels, gold #1 & #2 on tubes, 2 ½” chambers, #1 choked IC/¼”, #2 choked ¼/½, automatic safety, rare single triggers, with rolled edged trigger guard, magnificently engraved with rose and scroll, perfect wood with original finish, perfect screws. The guns show very little use, proofed at 1 1/8oz, 14 ¾ LOP to a checkered butt, the guns look just as new with 100% case color, 100% barrel blue, and 100% wood finish, engraving is extra sharp, checkering is perfect, they have gorgeous French walnut stocks that have magnificent contrast of black deep mineral lines on a light background. These guns are indistinguishable of guns bought today, perhaps better due to being made in the golden era of gun making. The guns look as new and function that way. They are tight and crisp, straight stock, splinter forend, just a beautiful matched, lightweight, pre-war Holland & Hollands. Replacement of these guns would be close to $200,000. Come in their original double oak and leather gun case with accessories that is in exceptionally fine condition, with original owner’s name.
